FWIW, trying with PowerShell helped me figure out that what prevented me from deleting the directory was Avast - booting into commandline single-user mode solved that issue. But that does not mean that this is the proper way to remove AzureAD users from a system.
No the proper way would be to re-image a PC Thank you for the reply, but I can't reset every PC a person may have logged in at some point, that's hardly feasible. But since we have AzureAD, we technically have a "Domain", just online-only. So according to your procedure we would have to check every single PC, and reset every single PC said user ever logged in to. Really, there has to be a better way, though I'm guessing the answer will be something along "E5 license".

It does not delete the account from Microsoft Azure, or change the actual account in any way. Using this cmdlet is a lot like logging out of your Azure account.

If your account has both a management certificate from Import-AzurePublishSettingsFile and an access token from Add-AzureAccountthe Azure PowerShell cmdlets use only the access token; they ignore the management certificate. To use the management certificate, run Remove-AzureAccount. When Remove-AzureAccount finds both a management certificate and an access token, it deletes only the access token, instead of deleting the account. The management certificate is still there, so account is still available to Windows PowerShell.
